Biography
Munehiko Harada, PhD, is the past president of Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences. He was educated in Japan (Kyoto University of Education and Tsukuba University), achieved his Ph.D. at the Pennsylvania State University and was a Fulbright Senior Researcher at Texas A&M University. After serving as a professor at Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences for 17 years and at Waseda University for 16 years, he was appointed as the president of Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences in April 2021 and step down in March 2025.
He is the Honorary President of the Japanese Association for Sport Management and the former President of the Asian Association for Sports Management (AASM), and the bord member of the Japan Volleyball Association (JVA) and Japan Badminton Association (JBA). His Research and teaching areas are Sport Management, Sport Marketing, and Sport Tourism.
